| Begun in 1989 to commemorate the bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, this 16 mile trail is planned to create a multi-use connection between High Point City Lake and the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park when completed.
The trail is tentatively scheduled to be completed in 2006.
Seven miles of paved trail are now open leading north from High Point City Lake Park, passing through the Piedmont Environmental Center, Jamestown Park and Gibson Park.
In Greensboro, three miles of paved trail now link Guilford Courthouse National Military Park with Owls Roost Road near Bur-Mil Park to the north, with the final segment leading into the park to be completed in 1999.
Access to the Bicentennial Greenway is available from Bur-Mil Park, the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Gibson Park, the Piedmont Environmental Center, and High Point City Lake Park.
